FA Premier Reserve League South, Tue 7 Feb 2006
Portsmouth 3 Arsenal 2
Arsenal scorers: Bendtner 17, Walcott 73
The Arsenal reserves 13 game unbeaten run came to an end last night, but the headlines will all be captured by Theo Walcott's scoring debut for the Gunners. With Matthew Connolly returning from injury and young French prospect Armand Traore in defence, a typically young but far from understrength team took an early lead via Niklas Bendtner, but the home side grabbed the winner soon after Walcott had equalised in the second half. Arsenal remain in second place, 2 points behind rivals Tottenham.
