Arsenal Ladies have won the League and Cup double yet again after completely dominating Leeds Ladies in this afternoons Ladies FA Cup Final which finished 5-0 to our Ladies. The Ladies never looked back when Leeds opened the scoring in the third minute with an own goal. Julie Fleeting and Rachel Yankey MBE added to the scoring in the first half and Kelly Smith with a penalty and (wo)man of the match Lianne Sanderson scored the remaining goals in the second half.
A crowd of just over 13,000 (second biggest attendance at a Ladies FA Cup Final) at Millwall FC saw ladies captain Faye White lift the cup with Kirsty Pealling who retires from playing football today.
