Arsenal Ladies take on Everton Ladies in the Ladies Community Shield this coming Wednesday 2nd August with an 8:05pm kickoff at Crewe Alexandra's Gresty Road ground but for those of you who can't make the journey north the game is also live on Sky Sports.
The season itself kicks-off on Sunday 20th August with an away game against newly promoted Blackburn Rovers with the first home game a week later on Sunday 27th August at Borehamwood with a 2pm kickoff against Fulham. Fulham have lost the backing and finance of the mens team and also manager ex-gooner Marieanne Spacey has recently left.
Arsenal Ladies have signed Karen Carney from Birmingham who was voted last seasons "Young Player of the Year". Katie Chapman, one of England's international midfielders has also arrived from Charlton. However it looks like captain Faye White will miss most of the season having sustained a serious knee injury in an earlier pre-season match. |
