Arsenal Ladies are through to the next round of the Ladies FA Cup as they beat Stockport County away by 4-1 on Sunday. Stockport Ladies play on an artificial pitch and it took our Ladies 41 minutes to make the breakthrough with Katie Chapman. Stockport scored a surprise equaliser early in the second half but it was Alex Scott and a Kelly Smith double (one a penalty) that finally saw off brave Stockport.
The Ladies now face Reading Royals in the next round at Borehamwood on Feb 4th.
Meanwhile before that there are a couple of important Premiership games coming up - Birmingham at Borehamwood this Thursday 11th with a 19:45 kickoff, Sunderland away on Sunday 14th, Charlton at Borehamwood on Thursday 18th with a 19:45 kickoff, Cardiff away on Sunday 21st and then a County Cup game against West Ham on Wednesday 24th with a 19:45 kickoff.
