And they say the magic of the FA Cup Sponsored By Axa is dead! Following the exits of Leeds and Derby, and a real scare for Man Utd, the fourth round draw has paired Arsenal with Liverpool - meaning a rematch of last year's final, a frankly shocking series of fixtures through January... and another return trip for the Horsey-Faced One to Highbury.
The game is scheduled for Saturday 26 January - but the broadcasters (either BBC or Sky, depends who has first pick) simply won't be doing their job if they don't move it back to the Sunday for national (or indeed, international) TV coverage.
It means two Highbury appearances in two weeks for the Scousers, sandwiching our visit to Elland Road. It's make-or-break time for our season.
Elsewhere in the draw... there's still too many X-or-Y situations to make much sense of it. But Everton won't fancy Leyton Orient much, and Leicester won't fancy a trip to West Brom. But they'd better get used to it. |
