Thierry Henry is definitely out of tomorrow's FA Cup tie against Oxford with a slight hamstring problem. He should be back for
the Birmingham game on Sunday week.
Parlour is nursing a hamstring too, and Ljungberg has a virus.
Other first teamers are expected to be rested, including possibly Bergkamp, Pires, Vieira, Cole, Gilberto, and Campbell. If Sol
is rested it could mean a rare but well-deserved chance for Matthew Upson, although Pascal Cygan is thought to be close to a return from his calf injury. Edu is ready to return from injury
so is likely to join Jeffers, Kanu, and Toure in the starting line-up.
Oxford might not be the pushovers we're expecting. They beat Charlton on penalties in the League Cup before going out to Villa (but holding them out for 75 minutes).
The Us have won 7 of their last 8 games, all but one of which were clean sheets too. But those were in the 3rd division, and
even with a few of the big Gunners missing, surely a comprehensive demolition job isn't too much to ask for?
Oxford will be without James Hunt (groin) and Jamie Brooks (virus) but David Savage (hamstring) and Matt Robinson (ankle) are thought to be likely to return.
There's a nice preview by Big Ron on the Guardian site, titled "If Oxford can survive the first 14 seconds...."
This preview from the Telegraph is worth a read too, if you want to know a bit more about the opposition.
