The Gunners have now equalled Everton's long-standing record of 23 FA Cup semi-final appearences. We edged ahead of the red side of Manchester who remain on 22 (and hopefully never ever adding to that tally!). Boring Liverpool are fourth on the roll of honour with 21.
The omens are good for Arsenal going into the semi-final. We have not lost an FA Cup semi-final at the first time of asking since that lost to Spurs in 1991. Since that 3-1 defeat, we have won four of our five semi-finals at the first time of asking (you know which one we lost - if not, think hairy chest). Of those semi-finals we have won, we have gone on to win the Cup three times, the one outstanding when we were robbed by Mickey Owen.
Here's to making it four wins, eh?

It's also worth pointing out that if we beat Sheffield Utd,
Arsenal will hold the record for FA Cup final appearances unopposed. We currently hold it jointly with Man United (15 finals each).
See
record-breakers page for the (long) list of other records held by
the Arsenal, and
