Arsene Wenger claims that he may not be putting out the
strongest possible side against Man Utd in the semi-final next Sunday.
With the second leg of the Champs League quarter-final against Chelsea in mind, he's concerned about the workload of his players, particularly the internationals. He says, "It is possible the players who go away on international duty won't play", and that he's hoping that none of them will have to play more than 45 minutes in the midweek friendlies. This has prompted speculation that Henry and Freddie will be rested on Sunday.
It's far from impossible, especially with Bergkamp and Reyes
not playing in midweek.
But Wenger also revealed that Pires and Vieira have minor injuries so will not be going to play for France. |
