Leicester midfielder Rob Savage has made a public apology, through Football365 among others, after his reckless tackle on Kanu during Sunday's 0-0 draw at Hightbury. Savage said: "When I saw the incident on television it didn't look good. I apologised to Kanu at the time and I would like to apologise again for the challenge." "But I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I didn't meant to injure Kanu," Savage continued. "It was a bad challenge. But there was no malicious intention, and I was sorry for what happened." Leicester manager Martin O'Neill dryly comments: "If he had been sent off I don't think anyone on our side would have had grounds for complaint."
