Four full pages of France Football' s yesterday issue are dedicated to Titi, most part of the interview he gave to the French paper is available here (Thanks to listee Charlie Elia for the tip)
In an interview previously given to TF1, he reaffirmed he felt good at Arsenal and wishes to stay here for long. "I knew when I came here that I would play in a centre-forward position" he added.
He said too he learned a lot by watching Ian Wright at the Lee Dixon' s testimonial (and he also owns all the WWW' s videos). He wondered then "how come he scored more regularly than I do? He' s no taller, quicker or strongly-builted than I am. It' s because he always gave everything, even when he was not sure to receive the ball. That' s what I' m trying to emulate"
He opted to wear the shirt numbered 12 for France to pay tribute to his hero Marco van Basten. Besides, and unless Chris Wreh stays (no please), my bet is on TH12 next season, and no longer TH14. And talking shirts, TF1 revealed Henry' s replica shirts sells are second only to Dennis. Anyone has confirmation of this? |
