Our future opponents are now unbeaten in 12 after they defeated at home 3-1 league leaders Nantes, and a great game it was. Lyon are currently 4th in the table, 2 points adrift current joint leaders Lille and Nantes, and still qualified in every cup competition ; they' ll play Lens away in the League Cup next Wednesday, then Guigamp, Marseille and partner club Saint-Etienne in the Cup the week-end before our CL game. Talking Champions League, the last 4,000 tickets for the Arsenal game have been sold on general sale within two hours time last Tuesday and the club added they could have sold 40,000 more such important was the demand. The club has also been busy during the transfer market window which ends at the end of this month : Tony Vairelles left to Bordeaux on loan whilst they bought Loko and Caçapa. Patrice Loko (squad number 13), aged 30, is a former Nantes player and was the Division One topscorer in '95 with 22 goals. His career slipped downwards since he joined PSG the year after, spending afterwards some time at Lorient and Montpellier. Claudio Roberto da Silva a.k.a. Claudio Caçapa is a 24 year-old brazilian centre-back who joined OL from Atletico Mineiro. He has been capped once for his country (against Thailand) and is said to be lively and good in the air despite his average height for a CB (1,80m) He joined the French club for the usual undisclosed fee and has been given the number 31 shirt.
