Thierry Henry has been ruled out of the French squad for the trip to
the confederations cup in Japan. He's had a fitness (back?)
problem in training with his French teammates, and is now
having tests to establish the cause.
Wiltord, Pires, and Vieira are all still going. The competition starts on May 30th.
Henry has been replaced by 26 year old
Bastia striker Fred Nee, getting his first call-up. Great surname,
worth signing just for the "bring us a shrubbery" chants.
