Really obscure, this one. But having set up a web page for such things, it'd be strange if we didn't pass on the
story which has just come up on the wires.
By scoring his 104th Arsenal goal on Sunday, Thierry Henry has
equalled (and will very soon pass) the record for the number of goals scored by a Frenchman at a foreign club.
Whoopy doo.
The record was set by Michel Platini in his time at Juventus. Thierry has been telling L'Equipe of his pride at the achievement, "To equal the record of such a player is obviously a great pleasure, Platini is not just anybody."
But given the ridiculous number of records Arsenal set and break
these days, Thierry has a sensible policy, "I don't think about
records. People are telling me about them." |
