We're a little sceptical of this story for the moment, but Sky Sports is among the throng reporting that Arsenal will be able to keep Kanu after all.

'The Olympic champions omitted Kanu from the squad to defend their title in Sydney,' they write - quoting NFA spokesman Austin Mgbolu that 'we regret Kanu's absence but then there are other players we believe could equally represent Nigeria'.
