Five Arsenal players were involved in the European under 21 championship qualifiers yesterday, 3 of them playing.
Finland 2 England 2
Ashley Cole played the full game at left back, and in a sense kept up his record of having scored in every first class game he's started this season. Finland's opening goal took a deflection off Cole on it's way into the net, though it was creditted to the striker, Sjolund. Paolo Vernazza and goalkeeper Stuart Taylor were both on the bench for England, but neither got onto the pitch.
Poland 2 Wales 1
Rhys Weston played the full 90 minutes in the centre of the Welsh defence.
Ireland 1 Estonia 0
Graham Barrett started this game, dominated by the home side, in the Irish attack, but was substituted 19 minutes from time.
