Only the one Gooner in quick-fix coach Peter Taylor's experimental England squad to get slaughtered by Italy next week: Ray Parlour. And even then, he must be less than likely to play, with David Beckham named as Captain (gulp!).
But Arsenal fans can take some consolation in Taylor's deliberate decision to avoid players over 30, as far as possible - ruling out England regulars Seaman, Adams, and Keown. But the exceptions to prove that particular rule are error-prone Villa 30-year-olds Gareth Southgate and David James. |
