Matthew Upson has been welcomed back to the Land of the Fit with a place in the starting lineup for England's Under-21 game tonight against Italy. It will be Upson's 9th cap, making him the most experienced member of the first XI.
He's joined in defence by fellow Gooner Ashley Cole, as part of a back four with Newcastle's Griffin and Spurs' King.
Also in the starting lineup is Owen Hargreaves - born in Canada, one Welsh parent, one English parent, currently on the books at Bayern Munich. He's being hailed as one of the Next Big Things in the Bundesliga... but his appearances for Bayern have been limited, and he's unlikely to feature in either Champions League game against our boys.
