A bit of a disappointment for FIFA at the Confederations Cup... France will indeed play Brazil - but not in the final, as they must have hoped. Instead, thanks to a second successive goalless draw - this time against the mighty Japan, Brazil finished runner-up in their group.
That puts them up against the winner of the other group, namely Les Bleus, to be played on Election Day (June 7 in case you've missed it?!) with a 12-noon (UK time) kickoff. Live coverage in the UK is on Channel 5.
(Japan will face Australia in the other semi earlier in the day. That one's also live on 5... kick-off at 9am.) |
