Ashley Cole and David Seaman both trained with the England squad yesterday, and look likely starters against Sweden on Sunday.
Cole has been resting a minor knee injury, with deputy Wayne Bridge playing in his place against Cameroun at the weekend.
Seaman has been out with a groin strain, but neither Nigel
Martyn nor David James has (ever) done anything to make
it likely that a fit Seaman would be left out.
It's hard to call which 2 centrebacks will be used (the one position where England have more than enough cover). Sol Campbell's
chances are considerably better than Martin Keown's, but Arseweb's
feeling is that if Keown gets a chance it could be hard for
the others to oust him (till he gets sent off, anyay). |
