 Captain Seaman ? by Rupe
on 27/4/99 at 09:40
this is story 30 of 368 in this topic to date
David Seaman might mark his 50th England cap by
being made captain for the night, according to Keegan quotes
on this online mirror page.

Any hopes that it'd be permanent were dashed when Keegan
pointed out that the next one would be Alan Shearer's 50th!
Still, a keeper as captain on a permanent basis would be an
even dumber choice than an inconsistent centre-forward.

This would appear to scupper any hopes we might have had that
David would be left out of Keegan's team on Wednesday.
