Sebastien Svard made his U21 international debut last night.
The versatile and highly-rated 19 year old defender/midfielder (and contender for the back-up left-back slot) had previously played at U18 level,
and was selected for the Denmark U21 side after his impressive display in the Worthington Cup loss against Sunderland was watched
by the Danish Youth Coach.
Denmark U21 were at home to Poland. They dominated a game which was azpparently a bit dull, but lost to an 84th minute goal by Lukasz Gargula.
Svard played the whole of the second half. Our correspondent
Hasse Palmelund sends the URL for this report (in Danish), but so far we've been unable to come up with any comments on Svard's performance. Any Danish Gooners out there that watched the game (or just the second half!)...? Please get in touch.
