David Seaman is the lone (current) Arsenal representative in Kevin Keegan's surprising selection to face Bulgaria in the Euro 2000 qualifier on Wednesday. Martin Keown was forced to leave the field on Saturday against the Swedes due to hamstring trouble, so he was out of contention anyway - but there's still no starting role for Ray Parlour.
The team is: Seaman (Arsenal), Phil Neville (Man U), Gray (Sunderland), Campbell (Spurs), Southgate (Villa), Woodgate (Leeds), Batty (Leeds), Redknapp (Liverpool), Sheringham (Man U), Shearer (Newcastle), Fowler (Liverpool). |
