In front of a 32,000 crowd at Derby's Pride Park (an admirable turnout given the freezing weather!), England U21s overcame a 1-0 half-time deficit to beat France 2-1. Arsenal youngster Matthew Upson scored the winner on 62 mins, controlling a Seth Johnson free kick and firing home from close range. (Matt didn't finish the game though - he was replaced in the 88th minute, but there is no suggestion of an injury.)
