Nigeria play their semi-final against South Africa tomorrow
(Thursday 10th Feb) in Lagos. The match, which promises to be
one of the games of the tournament, can be seen live in the UK
on Eurosport, starting at 3:30pm. See the links on
our non-UK TV FAQ,
or local listings, for coverage in other countries.
Nigeria have been fined $10,000 (about £7,000) after a pitch invasion by fans
stopped play for 10 minutes after their extra-time winner in the semi-final against Senegal.
Apparently the fans wrongly though the tournament was being played with a "golden-goal" rule. See BBC News.
Senegalese fans went on the rampage in Dakar later on,
targeting Nigerian people and businesses. See BBC again.
