It won't come as a surprise to hear that everyone is denying the (admittedly dodgy-looking) report in the Spanish press that Barcelona were prepared to dump £7m summer signing Emmanuel Petit.
'I don't know anything about this report,' said Manu. 'It's a total surprise to me and it's of no importance. I spoke to (assistant coach) Jose Mari Bakero and he told me there was nothing to the story.'
How long before we get the Manu-lashes-out-at-Spanish-media story? We still have a sneaking suspicion he might come back.
