Desperately sad news on the day of the North London Derby... David Rocastle died late on Friday night, at the age of 33.
As we reported a while back, Rocky was suffering from a cancer called non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which attacks the immune system. He had been having chemotherapy treatment since February.
'He was much loved and respected throughout the football world and will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew him,' said his agent Jerome Anderson in a statement.
Rocky was part of the Arsenal team which won the league in 1989 and 1991, as well as the 1987 League Cup. He played 277 times for the Gunners, from 1985-92, and won 14 England caps.
He leaves behind a wife and three children.
