Former Arsenal striker Chris Wreh is training with
AFC Bournemouth, and expected to make his debut against
Cambridge Utd at the weekend.
Since it became clear that he was surplus to requirements at Highbury, Wreh has become a bit of a globetrotter with brief spells at Birmingham, Den Bosch, AEK Athens, and
Al-Hilal. He's only 26 and although he might not have been
in quite the same league as our current crop of strikers
he played a crucial role and scored some important goals
back towards the end of the double season.
Bournemouth won't be able to afford to hang onto Chris for long. Which is as it should be since, frankly, it's hard to believe he isn't still far too good
for the 2nd division. Let's hope his spell on the south coast helps Chris find a more suitable move.
