Sky Sports is reporting that former Arsenal youngster Paolo Vernazza, sold to Watford in December last year, was stabbed in the leg when he found an intruder in his Finsbury Park home early this morning.
Vernazza was taken to hospital but his condition is not thought to be serious. But according to Sky, 'a (male) friend, who was with him, is in a critical condition, but stable, after being stabbed in the chest.'
The other man is reported to be Andrew Douglas, another former Arsenal youngster... whom, we understand, is currently with non-league Grays - but who, according to a recent Arsenal match programme, may be better known for his involvement on E4 TV programme Shipwrecked? |
