Centre-back Martin Keown has been transfer listed by Leicester City, less than 3 months after signing for them. The 38-year old Arsenal legend joined the first division ("Championship", sorry) club after being released by Arsenal this summer.
There have apparently been suggestions that there was some sort of bust-up between Martin and Leciester boss Micky Adams. But the club deny this, saying basically that because they've got too many centre-backs and can't guarantee him first-team football, there's been a mutual agreement that it's best if he leaves.
It does make some sort of sense. If he was happy to play very occasionally, and in the reserves, he might have ended up staying at Arsenal. Perhaps it's time for a lower division player-manager role?
Or maybe he'll go to Wycombe?
