Utterly non-greedy Nicolas Anelka is already getting into
trouble at his new club Real Madrid, for promoting personal
sponsors Puma in preference to club sponsors Adidas. He's been reprimanded by his manager, reminded by his captain, but keeps
on doing it. And quite right too. They may be the club of your dreams Nic, they may be paying you stupid amounts of money, but that doesn't give them the right to tell you what to do, not
ever. We say give them hell! There must be a legal angle...
For those of you who've forgotten him, Anelka is the ex-Arsenal
player who says he signed a lengthy contract with no intention of honouring it, in order to squeeze more money
out of the club.
See Soccernet for full story including a lovely dismissive
quote from the Arsenal.
Sorry, I know you're all fed up with hearing about him.
But this one seemed worth it.
