Nicolas Anelka - remember him? Having decided that the whole of the British media was against him, the Evening Standard reports that he's taking a pre-emptive strike against the notorious Spanish press.

The Standard quotes Anelka as saying: 'I don't like the commotion that surrounds me and I don't want it to go on. I have asked the journalists to stop putting my picture in the papers. If they carry on doing it, I won't talk to them. I don't like talking about myself. I play football to have fun, not to be a star. I like to be discreet but at the moment that is not possible.'

So, he wants £56,000 per week, but he wants to do it without being noticed. Ha.
