FIFA have responded to reports in today's Daily Mirror regarding dodgy dealings on the Nicolas Anelka transfer, by saying they will not lead any investigation until they get 'some sort of physical evidence'.
'There was a complaint made by Arsenal about an alleged illegal approach,' said a spokesman, 'but as I understand it, Arsenal then asked FIFA not to take any action, because the transfer was concluded with Real Madrid.'
But if the club (Arsenal) or the national association (FA) were to make an official complaint, FIFA say they would proceed with it. |
