Just when you think that the Nicolas Anelka story is finally going to go away, something even more ridiculous happens to keep it alive.

Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz has said that he is considering a loan deal which would see Anelka sent to Juventus in a swap for Zinedine Zidane, until Anelka's performances are worth £23 million.

'I'm sure his form will eventually take off,' he told the Spanish press. 'However, if I see that Anelka doesn't deserve his place in the squad, I would think about transferring him to Juve in mid-season and bringing in Zidane.'

Arseweb can't wait for Anelka's first 'I only want to play for Juventus' quote. Oh wait a minute, we had that months ago. :)
