The recent Nescafe advert which shows Ian Wright calling in on an Arsenal fan, despite having left the club ages ago, shows just how much he identifies - and is identified - with the Gunners.
So many of our loyal readers will be interested to know that Wrighty's brief loan spell at Forest has ended abruptly - he's been summoned by John Barnes to replace Henrik Larsson at Celtic, on a free transfer from West Ham. If you didn't see it, Larsson broke a leg in two places, in one of those 'yuk!' injuries which the news and sport channels insist on playing over and over again in slow motion. Wrighty joins the Parkhead bhoys with immediate effect.
BBC Ceefax states that 'he is planning to retire at the end of the season'... I think many of us suspected that, but it's never been quite so categoric before.
All the best up north, Ian.
