Is anyone else a little disappointed at the downfall of one Ian Wright, formerly of this parish?
Our Record Goalscorer, having failed to set Scotland alight, has become the first man out the door after the demise of John Barnes at Celtic - quitting Parkhead on a free transfer, after he got no guarantee of first-team football.
If he does manage to secure a first-team place at Turf Moor, the professional career of one of the true footballing legends of the 1990s would finish, on the last day of this season, at... Scunthorpe.
It doesn't seem right somehow. |
