Real Madrid fans are likely to be treated with the same kind of protracted transfer saga as Arsenal's last summer, as troubled talent Nicolas Anelka looks set to move house again. This time, he looks to his first club, Paris Saint-Germain, where he may move for a fee in the vicinity of GBP 20 million. The interesting part for Arsenal are the rumours about a fantasy clause in the deal between Arsenal and Real Madrid a year ago. In August last year, we reported the rumours that Real will pay Arsenal an extra GBP 12 million if Anelka is transferred within three years! No such deal have ever been confirmed by any of the clubs, of course... but this story is at least as good as any of the transfer rumours this summer :-) As for the transfer itself, Nicolas promises on his webiste to clear it all up early next week, while brother Didier flatly denies everything. Sounds familiar? |
