Best wishes to one of our recently-departed youngsters,
Nerada Bernard, who suffered a head injury during new
club AFC Bournemouth's friendly with Basingstoke over the weekend. The 19 year old defender's challenge with an opponent saw
him collide with the advertising hoardings. He was out cold for a
good minute and suffered loss of feeling in his arms when he came round. They took him to hospital as a precaution and will keep him under surveillance. Although he's not expected to train for a
while he's expected to make a full recovery. See this Bournemouth site.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Arsenal hero Michael Thomas
has returned from his Benfica nightmare and is training with Wimbledon (see previous story). Boss Terry Burton is optimistic that a deal can be struck. He's also still talking about how he'd like to sign Tony Adams but appears to
accept that that move is just a dream. See Sports.com
