Blackburn boss Graeme Souness has hit back at Arsene Wenger's suggestion that the winners of the Worthington Cup are unworthy of a European spot.
Le Boss angered both Blackburn and Spurs on the eve of the final by saying the UEFA cup place reserved for the winners of the Worthington Cup should be handed to the team which finishes sixth in the Premiership instead. But in an interview with The Sun Souness accuses Wenger of being elitist. Le Boss is yet to reply.
