As reported earlier,
Manu Petit has suffered a set-back and will miss the game.
The match preview on AFCi suggests that there's
a possibility that we'll see more first-teamers than at
this stage last year.
However, it also says that some youngsters, including
Paolo Vernazza and Jermaine Pennant, will
definitely be in the squad. If the latter gets a game, he will become Arsenal's youngest ever player. At 16 years and 271 days,
Pennant would be beating Gerry Ward's record by 50 days.
See also match preview page for more news of both squads, PNE links and stats,
and the league cup page
for the full draw etc.
