Reading draw and date by Rupe

this is story 56 of 66 in this topic to date
Arsenal reserves have been drawn against Reading in the League (Carling) Cup 4th round. The game will be played at Highbury on Tuesday 29th November (kick-off 7.45) and ticket details will no doubt be on the official site's tickets page soon. See below for full draw.

Clearly, we could have got a harder draw. But Reading may not be the pushover that many Gooners will be expecting. They're currently riding high in second place in the Coke Championship with an impressive 38 points from 17 matches (only Sheffield United are doing better, and there's a 9 point gap between Reading and third placed Watford).

Being used to the youngsters giving Premiership sides a good run for their money (and the occasional thrashing), it's easy to be complacent about this one. But it's worth remembering that we only just scraped past Rotherham a couple of seasons ago.

So much for trying to make this one more exciting than it is. Hasn't worked, has it? Anyway, Reading will probably play a reserve side too, saving their big guns for the more important league games.

Full draw
Arsenal v Reading
Bolton v Leicester
Man Utd v West Brom
Doncaster v Aston Villa
Wigan v Newcastle
Charlton v Blackburn
Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace
Millwall v Birmingham

On the face of it, not a lot to get really excited by. But you never know, Wigan may be feeling they have a real chance of a trophy here, and Palace and Millwall in particular will be fancying their chances of upsetting Premiership sides.
