Piers Morgan in new book shocker by Rupe

I expect you've been wondering what Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has been doing with himself since leaving his job as editor of the Mirror. No? Well we're gonna tell you anyway.

He's been writing a new book, and since he's been a seriously excellent long-time supporter of Arseweb (getting the site arguably its best-ever mentions, in the Guardian and on BBC 2) we agreed to plug it for him. We'd have done it anyway, for reciprocal back-scratching reasons, but as it turns out it's a bloody excellent little volume.

Va Va Voom, just out, is subtitled A Fan's Diary of Arsenal's Invincible Season. And that's what it is. The handy-sized hard-backed volume chronicles the events of last season from the perspective of a true Arsenal fan, who just happens to be editor of a national newspaper (well, up until the day before the last match of the season he does). It's funny, honest, beautifully presented, and to be frank I can't think of a better tribute than to say it's a bit like reading Arseweb (very much, at times, Piers old boy ;> ). No, really, it's a must. There are going to be a lot of long and dry records of last season, but if you want a fun readable one, this is the absolute business.

And...

...wait for it...

..it contains 100% guaranteed genuine photographs of Arsenal pissing all over the opposition.

(I know, cos like Piers and like a lot of you reading this, I was there) Please use this link (or the one above) to buy the book from Amazon, cos Arseweb will get a little kickback. See also our bookshop page for more Arsenal books, and the videos page which includes the 2003-04 season review, a nice companion to Piers book. I'm going to get them both and devour them in tandem.
