Croatian striker Davor Suker is cleared by British authorities to play for Arsenal. Manager Arsène Wenger has confirmed that Suker has received the work permit he needs as a player from outside the EU. Suker won't be available for selection until the home game against Bradford on August 25, because of international commitments. "Davor is with Croatia because they have two group matches in the Euro 2000 programme against Yugoslavia and Malta," Wenger said. "He is also short of match fitness, so the international matches can work for us and for him." Full story at Soccernet. |
