Mixed news from soccernet on the injuries picked up at the Stadium of Light:
It looks like Emmanuel Petit will be out for up to 6 weeks,
so there'll definitely be no Manu to face Man U (but see
next item for better
news on his injury. But Dennis Bergkamp
should have recovered from the injury inflicted by Steve Bould.
David Seaman looks likely to be ready too.
TeamTalk is reporting that Tony Adams has returned to
training 2 weeks ahead of schedule. They say he's unlikely
to be fit for the Manchester United game, but could be ready
for the next one against Bradford.
