It's now being suggested by Soccernet that Emmanuel Petit might be back in training after only a fortnight's lay-off (AFCi now confirms, Rupe).
The Pony-Tailed Powerhouse had been told by a French knee specialist that he would have to take two months off to recover from the injury he picked up at Sunderland. He now looks certain to miss only the League game against Aston Villa, and the trip to Fiorentina, returning to action in time for the visit of AIK.
Stephen Hughes may be reconsidering his return from Fulham...
