| Kanu & Bergkamp money talk |

There seems to be some disagreement about the latest state
of Kanu's contract talks. Apparently the News Of the World
on Sunday reported that his contract review was settled
last Wednesday and that he's now on around £1m/yr
(see ANR).
However today's Daily Mail reports that Arsenal are "ready to risk a player revolt" by offering him twice that, which would
see him overtaking Bergkamp and Adams as our top earner
(see Soccernet).
But perhaps it's encouraging news. Dennis Bergkamp has been
saying that he's undecided about his future (see
Football365) and that maybe he'll look elsewhere when his contract expires the season after next. Maybe the offer of a
new contract at Kanu's level would help keep him at Highbury.
