...and please try to ignore the rubbish some papers keep coming up with.
The Daily Star say that the big man didn't turn up for the Arsenal Xmas dinner as a protest at comments made by the chairman about his
(alleged) pay demands. They even claim that fans were booing
the man on Saturday. I for one didn't hear any of it, it was
probably just people shouting his name as usual. This is
one Star no wise men will be following this week (sorry about
that !).
We say, you've just moved into a new house, you're looking
forward to your family coming over (at last) for Xmas (and
let's be clear about this, Xmas is a time for being with
your family and the players get precious little time off).
So we say: do
what everyone should be allowed to do for Xmas mate. IE
whatever you bloody well like.
Meanwhile Arsenal have countered with this
article on AFCi in which Kanu talks about how happy he
is at Arsenal. But it's noticeable that they don't mention the state of
his contract. Please sign Kanu, let's get this out of the
way.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian FA are apparently going to report
Arsenal (and Chelsea) for their refusal to release players
well in advance of the African Nations Cup. It begins on
Jan 22nd, but they want the players (Kanu and Babayaro)
in early January.
