Arsenal have announce, via the official web site, that
they are "almost certain" that Marc Overmars injury,
picked up in the Wednesday
match on Monday, is an ankle sprain.
This follows scans performed this afternoon.
Ankle sprains can vary considerably in their seriousness,
depending on which ligaments are damaged (see here or here). But the implication (we hope) is that the injury is not as bad as some press reports have suggested.
