Something about spending time near John Gregory gives many people the urge to gesticulate.
Including Manu Petit, whose "let me summarise my feelings about football in Birmingham" gesture towards Villa fans last month has resulted in a GBP 5,000 fine from the FA.
Might have been worse. Then again, were he playing for Man Utd, precedent suggests a complete let-off a la Beckham. And Beckham used two fingers.
