Vieira turned down an offer from Italian giants Juventus this summer. "Having played with AC Milan a couple of years ago, I had to be truthful with myself and admit that I was not made for the Italian game," the French World and European champion said.

"Italian football is not the kind I like or excel at. I have come to realise that I am much more suited to the English way of playing."
