What Kanu can miss by Jon
on 27/7/00 at 10:12
this is story 219 of 595 in this topic to date

If Kanu travels to the Olympics with Nigeria's final U23 squad, he can miss up to eight Premier League games and three Champions League fixtures.

The three first Premier League games, against Sunderland (A), Liverpool (H) and Charlton (H), takes place while Kanu joins Nigeria's training camp in the Netherlands. When the two away games against Chelsea and Bradford are played, the 18-man squad has probably already left for Australia.

The three first games in the UEFA Champions League are played while the Olympic tournament is played, so are the league games against Coventry (H) and Ipswich (A).

If Nigeria go all the way to the final, as they did last time around, Kanu will miss the home game against Manchester United...
